Facilitation

What is faciliation?
Jemstone Consultancy facilitation enhances group
and social processes. We can help improve the effectiveness of any
group
of people, however large or small, working together on an issue.
Some of the benefits you can expect from using our facilitators with
your group are:
all involved feel part of the process
and remain committed to the activity |
time is used effectively |
communication is enhanced |
difficult topics can be discussed |
agreements reached are based on commitment rather
than just compliance |

When might I want to use facilitation?
There are many situations where the use of one of our
facilitators adds value by enhancing group processes. For example:
team development |
team building |
conflict resolution |
strategy development |
awaydays |
meetings |

What can I expect if I decide to use a facilitator?
Our facilitator or team developer can work with you
in a number of ways. If you already have a structure for your planned
event,
then
you
may want the facilitator to concentrate solely on group process on
the day. Alternatively, you may be unsure how best to plan the time
to get the outcome you want, or indeed who needs to be there. In
that case our facilitator can help you design and structure the event
as well as facilitate it. Our facilitator can also provide a report
on their experience, and recommendations about what to do next.
In general terms, the process of using one of our facilitators
is likely to involve them in some or all of the following events
taking a brief, establishing who needs
to be part of the event, and agreeing a contract of work |
confirming the contract and costs in writing |
interviewing or surveying key people |
discussing key findings from the interviews with
you |
proposing and agreeing the structure for the event
and desired outcomes |
making sure people have the information they need
before the event |
preparing any materials necessary for the event |
facilitating the event |
providing a follow up report |
meeting to discuss the event and the report |
top
So how much is this likely to cost?
Given the variety of events that can be facilitated,
the answer has to be, it depends on what is required. However Jemstone
Consultancy is committed to openness and transparency in our charging
arrangements. Following the initial meeting with your facilitator,
a contract will be confirmed covering the work to be done and the
charge.
